Navarro Correas Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza Colección Privada 1990

Member Review by MediaSandS:

Perhaps I am the only one who kept this wine until Oct 2012, but I must say, I am quite surprised. I thought it was good in 1995 when I first tried it and put one in my cabinet. I decanted, but not much sediment. Medium red, no brown. Nose a little dusty at first with more wood and spice notes than fruit. After 45 minutes, nose opened up more, got a little plum briefly, but later more like dark fruit mixed with spice box, still definately mature notes, flavors are very fruity and smooth with a little prune on the finish to let me know it is old. Enjoyable and interesting. 90+.

During the winter pruning we are going to control the production capacity of the plant, the vineyard is going to produce a certain number of clusters, and we will regulate the number of buds of each plant by using scissors.
