This is a big wine with a smooth presentation, lingering smoky finish. goes well with paella
Soft fruity nose. Acidic with some tartness. Very soft and fruity, A bit heady at 14% and a bit of tartness - young vines? Young tannins? a bit soft and smooth for me, looking for more structure.
Appearance: Red, brick red disk. Tears starting to show collor, thickening, medium space, and take a while to form. Smell: Smooth, it has quite a green smell and a good deal of wood. Mint and chocolate. Taste: Complex, medium body. No astringency, velvet. Green minty taste, roasted beans. It lingers in the mouth. Overall: This was a great wine, complex, shows a lot about the Merlot varietal. It can be drunk right now, but it can still evolve with time, and I think it will reach its summit in about 10 years.
Red berries and fruit, plum, toast, pepper, and spice. Good structure, acid and fruit are balanced, mild tannins and spiciness on smooth, medium-long finish.
I love the 2004 Malbecs, and this one from Navarro Correas was my introduction. Very fond of this one. Can't find anymore 04'.
A very smooth but intensely flavored wine. Kind of heavy, but not overbearing. We just opened the last bottle we bought in Buenos Aires, :( would love more!
