Nautilus Pinot Noir 2009
Nautilus Estate has had a focus on producing premium Pinot Noir from the Marlborough region for over 10 years. The majority of the fruit now comes from two specialised Pinot Noir vineyards on the clay slopes on the southern side of the Wairau Valley. Small parcels are also grown on intensively managed sites in the Awatere Valley and the Wairau Valley floor with each site, contributing a specific character to the regional blend. The dedicated Pinot Noir cellar incorporates principles of minimal handling and gravity flow and allows the producer to handle all the fruit with the utmost respect. The Nautilus Marlborough Pinot Noir 2007 is dark ruby in colour with an aroma of dark fruits and raspberries with hints of chocolate and spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with generous fruit sweetness, a soft tannin structure and a warm finish. The primary components showing in the wines youth will further integrate and develop over the next five years as the wine matures.
Nautilus Estate wines are carefully crafted; we produce wines that are synonymous with the best in New Zealand. Modern technology and traditional techniques have been deftly combined in our state-of-the-art winemaking facilities by our talented winemaking team. The resultant wines are stylish and individual.

Medium bright red. Fresh, nuanced aromas of black cherry, menthol and smoke, lifted by a note of orange peel. Sweet, spicy and fairly deep, with a refreshing character to the spicy red berry and orange peel flavors. The firmly tannic finish features good grip and length. A very good pinot value.
Generous, with gobs of black cherry, currant, dried raspberry and plum notes, accented with sage, cedar and mineral flavors. A firm structure and thick tannins provide some appealing traction. Drink now through 2017. 900 cases imported. -MW Wine Spectator. A Pinot Noir wine from Marlborough in New Zealand. 2009 Nautilus Pinot Noir 750ml
