Napoleon Special Cigare Chateau Montifaud NV

Winemaker's Notes:

Remarkable aromas of dried fruits and, in particular, grilled almonds. Great freshness and not too tannic. It is characterised by its mellowness and its great long-lasting taste in the mouth. Rancio is very present. Hints of spices appear. A cognac equally appreciated by feminine clientele.

Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Really nice XO, that brings you to real taste of a non commercial cognac. Intense and rich

Excellent choice for an after "light" dinner. Gives you the taste of champagne while it does not scare you with a heavy alcoholic aftertaste. It gives you a nice smooth aftertaste which you may enjoy for several minutes. Well worth the price, and taste wise it's one of the best non-hyped cognac's around. Five out of five from a northsman!

This is my favorite staple xo. It has a core dark fruit character (berries) that is unusual for Cognac. Most Cognac tends toward orange/apricot core flavors. Very smooth and aromatic, and just a hint of rancio, but the fruit predominates. This is better as a stand-alone Cognac than a digestif, in that the subtleties and fruit are best appreciated on their own. I write this with glass in hand of Delamain Très Venerable.
