This is an example of a nearly perfect textbook flavor profile for a (red) zinfandel from the Napa Region! The winemaker has once again outdone himself in making a varietal that is text-book in flavor for a wine in my opinion. This delightful taste treat hits your tongue with a ton of jam on the fore of the palate followed by a classic explosion of berries and fruit through the mouth and finishes a second after you swallow as a starburst of white pepper reaches from the back of your throat and pulls your tongue to the back of your mouth to fully absorb every last drop of the spice and flavor that you’ve unleashed upon it!
the wine is so incredibly rich and full bodied. look at the legs on the glass....wonderful spicy finish. It stood up to bbq beef ribs so well. Will buy a case.
It converted a non-red wine drinking woman into now being open to drinking red wines. Smooth. Tasty with an almost forever stretching background of fullness. I never be embarrassed to serve this fine wine. Seems to getting better with time.
