For some, it conjures up images of five-star resorts and world renowned restaurants, but everyone agrees Napa Valley represents the pinnacle of great wines; one of the world's great wine capitals. Napa Cellars embodies the classic Napa Valley style - ripe, rich, balanced and collectible. Most importantly, the wines of Napa Cellars taste of the depth of this great wine region as much as the grapes themselves. In the valley's warm days and cool nights, our vineyards produce seven primary varieties for which Napa Valley has become famous. Try one of our classic wines, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them. Read less

The 2004 Napa Cellars Zinfandel offers a finesse and elegance not often typical of the varietal. On the nose, the wine reveals jammy fruit aromas of raspberry, blueberry, and cedar. The true complexity, however, is expressed on the palate with a lingering finish of blackberry jam, vanilla spice and a hint of rustic dustiness. For food parings, Zinfandel and BBQ are a natural. Try our luscious Napa Valley Zinfandel with honey glazed barbequed pork ribs and a side of good old fashion coleslaw. The fruit for the 2004 Napa Cellars Zinfandel was sourced from vineyards in North East Napa Valley where the fog burns off earlier in the morning and the summer evening temperatures remain higher than the rest of the valley. Because the thick-skinned Zinfandel is one of the latest ripening varietals, the sun and heat are needed for the grapes to achieve full ripeness. Overall, 2004 was a great vintage for warm weather grapes such a Zinfandel due to the consistently above average temperatures experienced throughout September and October.
