Naia Verdejo 2005

Member Review by drdebs:

Very, very pale straw, almost translucent, in color. Aromas of apples, pears, and lemon pith. These are echoed in the flavors, which finish on a slightly bitter note. If you serve it too cold there will be almost no flavor at all, just a citrus impression. Let it warm up a bit, and the orchard fruits do come out, along with an almond edge underneath.

I expected this wine to much more tart and acidic than it was. It was citrusy in the aromas, and the flavors had citrus (lemon, grapefruit) but also peach notes. I agree with earlier taster that this is a very good, simple "patio" wine for summer. Nothing deep or complicated, just simple and good.

Medium body, a little bit of citrus, reliable value, great aperitif
