Nabucco 2010

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

With its soft notes of fig and brighter red fruit flavors, this is a ripe wine to serve with sausages or aged cheeses.

A wonderful blend of Monastrell and Syrah. It develops red fruits aromas and flavors, powerful and structured, with a nice cherry red color. Pair with roasted chicken, barbecue, sausages or medium cheeses.

Yecla is a treasure trove of tasty, beefy, surprisingly fun-filled red wines, usually dominated by Monastrell (Mourvedre) blended with other grapes, particularly Syrah and Bordeaux varietals. The 2010 Nabucco is an equal part blend of Mourvedre and Syrah aged three months in French oak. Displaying a dense plum/ruby/purple color, aromas of pepper, cassis, blackberries and camphor, medium body, and impressive ripeness, purity and texture, it can be enjoyed over the next 2–3 years.
