What to Expect

A grape with long roots in France's Loire valley, Melon de Bourgogne is most famous as the grape responsible for the wines of Muscadet. It produces white wines that are light bodied and zesty with contrasting mineral and citrus tones. They are typically paired with shellfish.

Reviews

Lemon colour, some small beads (probably owed to the lees ageing). Sweet floral and green fruit notes on the nose. Lemon and salt with a very slight spritz (the lees again) on the palate -- also sherbet notes and a slightly smoky oak hint. Light body and good acid. 12% alcohol.
