Munia Roble 2007
Deep red cherry color, with intense blue border tones that embody its great youth. The aromas are highly complex and personal. Clean aroma of black fruit and spices, with touches of toasty vanilla and coconut.Taste: In the mouth the wine is very balanced, with plenty of body and viscosity, and a general velvety. This wine presents harmonious sensations and a great richness in shades.
Prizes: Viñaguareña has got many awards during 2008. Gold medal in Brussels, 90 Parker, Mundus Vini 2008, etc...
Editorial Reviews for Munia Roble
Stewed cherries, braised herbs, a touch of sweet cooked vegetal aroma, faint tootsie roll, cigarette ash, shows a touch of heat, some asphalt and tar – medium light body, nice acids, a touch of orange up front that is followed by raspberry and strawberry fruit with a hint of tobacco and a top note of dried herbs. Finish reveals a touch of drying tannins and some coarseness with flavors of dried berries, meat, cherry and herb that linger with an almost metallic vanilla finale. 86pts
Great balance of red fruit and meaty aromas. Bright vibrant red fruit palate with good cinnamon and clove spice, fresh acidity, and a bit of medicine.
Great wine from the Toro region!
Big buttery fun, with some chocolate and fruitiness, and hazelnuts. Like nutella.
More red fruit on the nose - raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, and plums with some red spice notes. Darker on the palate, currants and berry-filled, tannins fairly dominate on the finish as more and more becoming a big robust wine.
Buttered popcorn and spice on the nose. Grand yet understated currant flavor that builds slowly. Slightly funky vegetal vibe with huge walnutty tannins and a slightly bitter but complex finish.
Perfect Roble wine, fruity with spicy hints coming from the aging in oak. Love it!
