Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

"Rating: 85/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. A brief sensation of vitamin pill in the nose sets this one off in an odd direction

"Rating: 87/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. Clean and quietly but confidently fruity with touches of toast and roasted vanilla beans

"Rating: 91/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. We have long been fans of Mumm's Napa Valley Blanc de Noirs and Rosés and found them to be quintessential expressions of gregarious and outgoing California fruit

Rating: 87/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. Clean and quietly but confidently fruity with touches of toast and roasted vanilla beans, this frothy, fully bubbled offering delivers a bright, lively and youthfully direct character on the palate, and despite its first turn to light fruit, it is not without a complement of layered champenization.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

"Rating: 91/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. It has become clear to us over the years that some special magic seems to happen when fine sparkling wine is fermented in magnum

Rating: 85/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. A brief sensation of vitamin pill in the nose sets this one off in an odd direction, and, rather than showing the toasty traits of time on the yeast, the wine is closer to "leesy" in tone. Its fine, pinpointy bubbles are a definite plus, but it lacks the credentials of defined Blanc de Blancs.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Rating: 91/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. We have long been fans of Mumm's Napa Valley Blanc de Noirs and Rosés and found them to be quintessential expressions of gregarious and outgoing California fruit, and so again is this an irrepressibly fruity working even while showing a full range of yeasty, autolyzed richness that lifts it into slightly more serious realms. Its strong theme of strawberries is overlain by a bit of vanilla, brioche and sweet cream, and its frothy mousse never quits. It is not so vinous as some Rosés, shows not so much of a hint of astringency and can be successfully quaffed on its own or teamed with a wide range of foods.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.
