Mumm Napa Champagne Blend Napa Valley Cuvée Napa Brut Prestige NV
The naturally ripened fruit selected from more than 50 separate vineyards yields a beautiful rose petal aroma. Further layers reveal crisp yet creamy qualities, rich and lingering. Individual lots are kept separate during initial fermentation in order to highlight their vineyard differences and make the most of their specific strengths. The end result is a hugely popular, award winning wine with touches of vanilla and melon, with firm acid and crisp structure. Medium bodied, with excellent mousse and a rich lingering finish, it pairs beautifully with grilled poultry, shellfish such as oysters, prawns and mussels, as well as brioche with portobello mushrooms.

Very nice nose with a touch of chalk, some funghi notes, hints of torrone candy, and sandy soil top note. On the palate this is very fresh though the dosage is a bit on the high side accentuating the sweetness of the fruit, which is fantastically ripe, luscious and delicious. 89pts
Not much to see here, definitely don't agree with Wine Spectator on this one. Sort of like Dan Quayle: reasonably smart, but appears moronic compared to everything else that's available.
Slightly toasted, almond and yeasty flavors with some pear and a nice creamy finish.
toasty, yeasty notes on the nose and more citrus filled on the palate - apples and lemons, very nice acidity
A crowd pleaser. Nice bright fruit, decent acidity, and a mass-produced appeal. A good value at $15.
A very pale Champagne, very sparkly. Rustic and slightly barn yard on the nose which I wasnt a fan of. Its very soft and has a fair amount of residual sugar - comes across slightly flabby to me. Short finish. Not terrible, just average - very industrial/commercial.
Tasted at UNLVino 4/10/10
Impressive prolific tiny bubbles, everything you would want in a brut sparkler at half the price. Red fruits, a bit of citrus, and fruitcake with candied fruit. Considering the quality to price ratio, Spectator is reasonable in putting this in their top 100, but I did try one I would rank a bit higher, a sparkling Blaufrankisch Rose 2005 from Gesellmann in Austria. http://www.snooth.com/wine/blaufrankisch-sekt-gesellmann-gesellmann-deutschkreutz-nv/ I agree with Greg, about 89 points, not quite 90.

Austere in a pleasant way, with a tight beam of crisp apple, citrus and spicy fruit enlivened by clean acidity, finishing with a complex aftertaste. Drink now.
This is Mumm Napaandrsquo;s workhorse brut. Itandrsquo;s a beautiful sparkling wine that satisfies that basics of elegance and lusciousness. Shows raspberry, lime, brioche and smoky flavors, with a slightly sweet dosage and a refined mousse.
This is a very dry wine made in a tarter, more austere style. The flavors suggest limes, hay, and fruit skins from peaches and grapes. it’s a bit rough in texture, but overall offers nice, easy drinking.
Festive and lively with tropical fruit and spicy vanilla aromas and supple flavors of raspberry lemon and spicy yeast. Drink now.
Winemaker's notes: This hugely popular award winning wine offers touches of vanilla and melon with firm acid and crisp structure. Medium bodied with excellent mousse and a rich lingering finish it is equally at home with a plate of iced oysters fried calamari chicken or a favorite pasta with a mild sauce. `Mature aromas of char yeast and flint with fruit notes in the background. Beautifully aged flavors of baked apple and flint are seamlessly integrated and deftly delivered. Long dry yeasty close.`-Wine News

Clean, light scents of pinot noir grapes give this a simple line. It's on the soft side of dry. For aperitifs.
