Mumm Brut Rose Napa Valley 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

Our Brut Rosé offers a bouquet of ripe Pinot Noir fruit, rich with black cherry and strawberry notes. Part of the wine is initially fermented in the press, producing the soft fruity character that gives Brut Rosé its directness, while a small percentage of Chardonnay gives the wine power and structure. This more robust quality makes Brut Rosé a wonderful wine with many kinds of cuisine, ranging from Thai to Italian. Note: The Brut Rosé was formerly called "Blanc de Noirs." We have changed the name of this release to better reflect the wine's elegant nature.

The nose is light, with a creamy strawberry feel to it. White chocolate with some grassiness. Big fruit body, with a nice bubbly mouthfeel, and enjoyable mango finish.

Really bubbly! Smells of strawberry and more typical rose aromas. Soft in the mouth. Easy drinking though a bit seltzer-ish.

Very good. Fresh baked bread & strawberry shortcake.
