Editorial Reviews for Mulderbosch Rose
Really stinky and reduced out of the bottle. This takes time to open, but does so with a beautiful array of sweet aromas that recall smoky roasted red peppers, dried cherries and persimmons. Nicely bright on entry with a nice medium-bodied feel in the mouth. This is a bit simple, though. It has excellent fruit and nice drive on the finish, which is nicely aromatic. 86pts

Add your reviewI am a fan of just about all of the Mulderbosch wines, but this rose has become a real favorite. Crisp and clean well defined. Great food wine.
My first CabSauv Rose and my first South African wine. Subtle, strawberry nose with next to no hints of alcohol or vinegar. Color is a deep pink, like one would expect from a fruit punch. The wine is crisp, with a significant fizziness at first, giving way to tones of strawberry and pomegranate with a pronounced herbal quality that I recognize from red cabernet sauvignons I've had in the past. Not as fruity and sweet as a white zinfandel or rose of malbec, but not offputting either.I wouldn't call it a wine to drink by itself, but it seems like it would be ideal to pair with a nice meal.
Priced right but disappointing. Lacking the finesse promised by the dry opening. Procencal color derived from a cabernet sauvignon grape. Pleasing and best paired with summer soups (i.e. cold soups such as gazpacho or vichyssoise or even a cucumber soup). That's it, it needs food. Not a wine to sip on its own merits.
Strong pear notes in the nose and mouth, semi-sweet, nice acidity. A little bit of yeastiness.
aromas of peaches, strawberries, raspberries, and watermelons. palate extends to glorious light red fruit, strawberries, nice acidity, fairly complex for a rose with a little floral on the finish. I loved and a great value!

Fresh and fun, with juicy berry and currant notes. Awesome summertime sipper. Compare this to your favorite Malbec or Garnacha rosé.
Vibrant and lively with forward notes of fresh red berries and pink florals along with a touch of watermelon rind and soft sandalwood. Juicy and clean in the mouth with a crisp, mouthwatering finish. Drink now.
A soft, watermelon pink colour with orange tints. Agamut of rose petals, lime zest, wild strawberry and freshly picked raspberries assault the olfactory senses. These red berry aromas follow through on the palate supplemented with nutmeg spice and ground pepper which is balanced by a refreshing acidity, softly textured mouth feel that leave a lingering farewell.
A lovely, lively, bright and clear pomegranate colour and has complex layers of strawberry, cherry, roses and fresh peaches on the nose. The wine has a nice, spicy and slightly peppery taste on the palate and is well balanced with a fresh long aftertaste.
Winemaker's Notes:
This wine displays a brilliant lively strawberry color. The nose is complex with aromas mainly in the rose petal, strawberry and cherry spectrum. A dry aftertaste of pomegranate and berry fruits lingers in the mouth.
