aromas of citrus fruits, peach, nice acidity, lemon lime notes with a savory complexity
Bright straw in color. Aromas of chamomile tea, citrus, and straw. Flavors of chamomile, pear, and citrus. Very nice wine, long finish for a white. As the wine opens up and warms a bit, you get almost smoky elements on the finish too. Very interesting. Still drinking well on 12/12, suggesting that this may be capable of short-term aging.
Crisp and dry, the wine went well with a bit of spiciness in my food...did a nice job offsetting the heat. Hints of citrus. Very refreshing!
Not as great as I would have hoped. Some nice lemon flavors. Some decent minerality. Was very clear that this was fermented or aged in oak. All in all, it did not change my life.
External Reviews for Mulderbosch Chenin Blanc
Pale yellow in colour with a hint of green. On the nose, tinned pineapples, guavas, litchi, lemon and lime aromas are abundant. A clean, lively wine with nuances of nutmeg and cloves. Well-balanced and elegant, but with weight and a powerful follow-through on the palate. Stylistically off-dry and lightly oaked this is an excellent food wine.
