Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva 1970

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 1970 Prado Enea Gran Reserva, which would have included around 10% Viura, has a superb, vibrant bouquet with scents of lavender, dark chocolate and sage and a curious tincture of fried onions. The palate is amazingly fresh and vital with supple, fine tannins and sorbet-fresh, dark berry fruit mixed with bay leaf and cold black tea. The finish retains fine, robust tannins and the length is mightily impressive. Superb.” Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate

Bodegas Muga:
Bodegas Muga is a celebrated winery in the Railway District in the town of Haro in Rioja, Spain.  Moved to the present location in 1971 by the children of founder Isaac Muga Martinez, Muga Winery was been producing a variety of wines since its founding in 1932.  Bodegas Muga currently is in control of one thousand acres of fertile wine growing land, and is one of the few wineries in the world that owns its own cooperage.
