A fragrant, cherry and redcurrant tinged nose with good definition. The palate is medium-bodied, slightly coarse tannins, touches of cranberry and cherry with quite a masculine finish. Drink now.

Sweet cedary oak frames tangy raspberry, green tea and red plum flavors. Lively acidity, taut tannins and fresh herb notes grip the finish. Drink now through 2010.

New Zealand is becoming well known for producing high quality Pinot Noirs. This wine has a deep, ruby red hue and a fragrant bouquet of black cherry, raspberry and red plums overlaid with integrated oak spice. The palate shows ripe, red berry fruit flavors and lingering fruit sweetness. Tannins are fine and integrated, making the wine immediately approachable. This is one heck of a deal for a good quality Pinot Noirhellip; the 2008 vintage of this wine is selling for $28 on their website!

Any ldquo;Pinotphilerdquo; would agree it is hard to find a quality Pinot Noir that will not break the bank and can be justifiably enjoyed on any day of the week. Mud Housersquo;s Vineyard Selection Pinot Noir offers just that, a value-for-money wine that is easy to drink, varietally expressive and tasty. It offers lifted aromas of cherries, currants and plums with attractive, integrated savory mushrooms and toasty oak. A mixture of new and old French oak gives the wine a soft, full palate with notes of cherry, red currant and plum.
