This wine exhibits a lovely mix of red and black berry fruits with further complexity gained from oak spice. The wine has a sweet berry entry which displays these same characters in abundance. Tannins rise gracefully out of the mid-palate to finish the wine; these are balanced by the wines natural acidity and fruit, to produce a long fruit-driven finish.

Nicely done, with dark berry, plum and spice box notes that are framed by tannins that have some traction. Juicy and smooth, with a tobacco leaf finish. Drink now through 2015. Wine Spectator. A Pinot Noir wine from Otago in New Zealand. 2010 Mt. Difficulty Roaring Meg Pinot Noir 750ml

Red cherry and berry aromas complicated by flowers, menthol, dried herbs and dark chocolate; a bit Vosne-like. Then juicy, suave and fairly intense but on the lean side, with a refreshing quality to the dark fruit and herb flavors. Finishes with slig... Stephen Tanzer's IWC. Medium bodied and fruit-forward, this New World Pinot Noir is a delight to drink. Find raspberries and blackberries on the palate with notes of savoury dried herb and white pepper. The tannins are smooth and silky on the finish.
