Mouton Rothschild 2004

The wine has a deep and brilliant garnet red colour. With great elegance, the nose displays aromas of fresh, ripe red berry fruit (cherry and raspberry) then opens out on blackcurrant. Supple and round on the attack, it fills out on the palate, striking a fine balance between blackberry and bilberry fruit and leaving an impression of lush fullness. The lingering and harmonious finish, sustained by well-rounded tannins, suggests that the wine will age well. Distinguished by a typical Merlot elegance and roundness, Mouton Cadet rouge 2002 is a perfect symbol of its resurgence.

There’s a wonderful purity of fruit on the nose with aromas of warm blackcurrant, dark cherries, dark chocolate, anise, cinnamon and a waft of cedar.
