Mouton Cadet Bordeaux Blanc 2013

External Review by We Speak Wine:

Tasting Notes:ASPECT: Pale yellow with a slightly golden tint.NOSE: The nose is elegant and fresh, expressing fruity Sauvignon freshness (box, broom, yellow grapefruit) and elegant Semillon fruit (white peach, acacia blossom) in a reminder that MoutonCadet white is a blended wine.PALATE: The attack is rich and fresh on notes of box and broom. Elegance comes to the fore on the mid-palate with peach flavours and a mineral touch, the whole combining to give a complex and freshwine.Blend:75% Sauvignon Blanc 23% Semillon 2% Muscadelle Alc: 12% vol.

Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA has also exported its know-how beyond Bordeaux: to the Pays d'Oc, with a range of varietal wines and, more recently, Domaine de Baron'arques; to California, with Opus One; and to Chile, with Almaviva. One of the key factors behind the company's undisputed success is the art of blending, which it practises with exceptional skill. Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, the majority shareholder of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, works closely with the executive directors to maintain, modernise and develop the family business.
