External Reviews for Mount Gay Rum Eclipse
Appearance: Its bright, luminous, golden-amber appearance is the first enticing indication of the fine quality of Eclipse. Aroma: Eclipse has the most complex aroma of all in the product range. Although well harmonised, certain tonalities can still be discerned, namely;* floral, spicy (pippermint-type)* fruity (apricot, banana, prune, mango)* a hint of vanilla and a subtle, smoked oak character (derived from the charred barrels). Taste: Its flavour is in superb harmony with its aroma. Here, the complex set of aroma characteristics is magically transformed into subtle, well-balanced but exciting distinguishable flavour undertones. Revealing only a hint of the character of double distillate, and so not being of intense character, Eclipse is a light-bodied rum (as are all in the Mount Gay Rum range) which can be enjoyed when served in any fashion - mixed, on ice or neat.
