Moulin de la Lagune Red Bordeaux Blend Haut-Médoc 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

Chateau La Lagune is the southernmost classed growth of all the Médoc and one of just five classed in the 1855 classification which lie outside the main communes of St Estèphe, St Julien, Pauillac and Margaux. Chateau La Lagune has ridden the vicissitudes of fashion that have swept over the Medoc in the past 30 years. Now owned by Champagne Ayala, La Lagune has seen a return to form, brought about by lower yields and better work in the vineyard. This wine is bright ruby red with notes of crushed red fruits on the nose. A good attack on the palate, with a supple mouthfeel and well rounded tannins on the finish.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
