Mas de Daumas-Gassac practices organic agriculture and makes this wine from five hectares of vines near the oyster beds on the Mediterranean Sea. If you've never tasted a Picpoul de Pinet, you should discover now what you've been missing! Moulin de Gassac Picpoul de Pinet is 100% Picpoul Blanc, unoaked. It's a classic example of why Picpoul is fondly referred to as the "Muscadet of the Midi." Briny mineral notes in both the nose and mouth provide the perfect pairing for fish and shellfish. The palate is dominated by melon and citrus flavors and a crisp, zesty acidity that keeps you coming back for more. The weight and fruit concentration make this a more ample wine than most Picpouls.
