Moscato d'Asti Oddero 2007

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Lovely fruit on the nose with a touch of sage, lemon rind, lime leaf, and juicy sweetness 2+ Nicely balanced acid/sugar levels 2 An almost creamy aspect to the Meyer lemon core is gently shaded with sage and candied lime zest 2+ Finishes round and juicy 2 88pts

The success of a Moscato relies on its balance and minerality. Acidity is required to compliment the sweet, floral flavors of the Muscat grape. There must be minerality to take the wine to a heightened level of complexity. Oddero accomplished both and the result is delightful.
