Morro Bay Vineyards Split Oak Estates Chardonnay Sur Lie 2012
Vanilla cream soda nose with a slice of fresh cut pineapple. Full body, tropical fruit, spice and pleasing vanilla oak note linger in the finish. Sweet flavor on the palate is from sur-lie ageing the wine on the primary yeast lees for 6 months. A versatile style of wine that can be served chilled with fine cuisine or a glass with friends.
tastes more like a sauvignon blanc than a chardonnay. Definitely caught me off guard. I like that! I paired it with breaded chicken patties but this would go great with oysters.

Tropical fruit notes are tasty and effusive, with pineapple, melon and pink grapefruit flavors that are joined to a refreshing acidity. Drink now.
A nice Cabernet for this everyday price. Dry and smooth, it shows interesting flavors of black currants, plums, herbs and spice, with a touch of smoky oak.
