Deep, vivid red. Powerfully scented nose displays sexy red and dark berry preserves, potpourri and smoky mineral scents, plus a strong vanillin undercurrent. Supple and concentrated, with lush black raspberry and Asian spice flavors. Tannins slowly build with air but the fruit overwhelms them on the long, gently spicy finish. Id drink this already-alluring pinot over the next four or five years for its sexy fruit. Acidity marks this fresh, young wine, giving a tension to the mouthfeel, and suggesting some time in the bottle to round it out. The underlying flavors are exquisite, suggesting cherries, raspberries, strawberries, pomegranates, Dr. Pepper cola and spice. The pedigree is obvious from the refined mouthfeel. - S.H. Very ripe and juicy, full-bodied and complex, with a mix of cherry and plum jam flavors, sage and spice. Ends with firm, fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2013. 550 cases made. -JL ** Only 4 in Stock **
