Morellino di Scansano le Pupille 90js 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

90 Points, James Suckling:"A beautiful wine that tastes so good now! Full-bodied and fine plus a fresh citrusy finish with dried fruits. Fine tannins. A Tuscan red that is a joy to drink anytime. Drink now." 10/15. Antonio Galloni, Vinous:"The 2014 Morellino di Scansano is an attractive, mid-weight wine very much in the style of the cold, rainy vintage. The flavors are bright and focused, but the mid-weight, slender structure suggests the 2014 is best enjoyed sooner rather than later. Sweet tobacco, licorice and leather add the final shades of nuance on the close." 10/15 Monica Larner, Robert Parker's, The Wine Advocate:"Fattoria le Pupille makes some of the best Morellino on the market today. This was a difficult vintage, but the 2014 Morellino di Scansano shines with bright cherry and berry fruit followed by toasted nut and moist earthy tones. This is a fresh and clean red wine that is stripped down, clean and easy to drink. This bottle is best consumed within the next two years." 9/15.
