Red and black fruit on the nose along with herbs and pepper. Black cherry, hints of licorice, damp earth and garrigue. Medium bodied on the palate with gritty tannins, yet an elegance all around. It's spicy and peppery with plum, red and black berry fruit. Some green notes, but in a welcome manner. 89 pts.
