Someone once said, "It's a marvelous night for a Moondance" …Cellars, that is. Moondance Cellars is one of Sonoma County’s boutique winery treasures. Vintner-winemaker David Cohen combines his love of music, art and wine in his trademark label of a dancer, and his limited production Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel varietal wines, crafted from grapes of the Napa Valley, Russian River Valley, and Sonoma County appellations. His wines continue to be awarded at some of the most prestigious wine competitions of the world. But, to meet David you would never guess it …A true believer in the phrase, “It takes a lot of beer to make good wine”, when not in the winery, David can be found tinkering under the hood, or smiling behind the wheel of his 1965 blown candy brandy-wine Corvette! If you have never experienced the "Rutherford Dust" this wine will provide you with a textbook example. Lots of soil and soft fruit combine for a very pleasing experience.

In basketball, the 6th man is the guy who comes off the bench and hopefully ignites a spark in his team. This wine is quite like the 6th man, coming out of Rutherford Bench to ignite a spark in your enjoyment of California Cabernet. This wine is rich, dominated with gorgeous fruit and soil aromas and an amazingly luscious mouthfeel. Just a touch of oak brings the vanilla goodness you might expect from California Cabernet, but without being so overpowering as to wash out the wine. Amazing wine at a tremendous value. Put the 6th man in your game!
