Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche Joseph Drouhin(2004)

Montrachet is full bodied and luscious, yet elegant. Itis only after a few years in bottle that it will develop its famous complexity and richness. Nose and aftertaste are reminiscent of exotic fruit, honey, liquorice, grilled almond and many other flavours which wine lovers over the years have attempted to analyse. But it is perhaps a musical word which can best describe this glorious wine : a symphony of sensations.

Food pairing
The wine in bottles blossoms with 4 to 6 years of age. It can be served with shellfish, fishes in sauce, fatty livers, white meats. A great aperitif.

"This too displays noticeable wood influence on the much more reserved and backward nose featuring white flower, spice and powerful green fruit aromas that continue onto the rich, full and sleekly muscled flavors that possess outstanding intensity and more minerality than I usually find in this wine. This should be capable of extended aging as there is a generous amount of dry extract that coats the palate on the wonderfully long backend...93." Burghound 7/06.
