Very light in body and taste
Liking this Pinot. Well rounded and has some nice mineral flavour to it.
You hit the nail on the head if you say that this is "Old-World Style", this 2009 PN from Montinore is one of the most well rounded, Burgundian style Pinots that I have tasted in a long while. There is a nice note of cherry with a hint of plumb, raspberry and a subtle smokiness. You can tell that the Bio-dynamic practices are having a very positive effect on the grapes, giving it that truly organic flavor.
A delightful nose of fresh ripe cherries & raspberries, with floral notes of rose petals and sweet spice, which comes through gently on the palate with soft, delicate tannins.
Had with 6 of us at dinner. We ordered another bottle. Loved it!!!!!

Rch in bright red fruits and accents with notes of spice and mocha. True to its past character, this wine is a medium bodied Pinot. Pairs beautifully with salmon, duck breast and all things mushroom. Montinore Website
Light garnet in color with earthy aromas of spice and dried cherries. Medium bodied with fine grained tannins and a lingering finish of spice and berry. Made with a respect of the land and a Zen-like hands-off approach to letting the grapes express themselves with purity and minimal winemaking. This is a contemplative wine that makes a commanding statement with a meditative chant. To taste it is to understand it.
A lovely Old-World-style Pinot Noir from Montinore Estate. While the wine is pale red in color, the nose and palate positively burst with powder, brambly raspberries, walnuts and red cherries. Perfect when paired with delicate meat dishes and other light fare.

This has a dark garnet color with a brick rim. It is very aromatic for a young wine with notes of Black raspberry, blackberry, toasted hazelnuts and hints of forest floor. On the palate the ripe blackberry coats your mouth supported by firm but fine grained tannins and accented with flavors of Bing cherry, roasted nuts and hints of toast, fresh berries and pie spice. A long finish completes the statement.

The 2007 growing season was a bit of a nail biter for Pinot Noir but in the end we couldnt happier with the results. We had a cool wet Spring a cool summer and a couple of scattered rains in late September early October but this turned out to be just what our Pinot vines wanted to produce classic complex Pinot Noir. The 07 is very aromatic with notes of raspberry Bing cherry cranberry and baking spices with hints of rhubarb and mocha. On the palate it is fresh and ripe with more cherry raspberry and spice and subtle notes of earth and mocha that unfolds in layers in the mouth. The finish lingers with flavors of strawberry red berries and spice. This is a wine that should age very nicely.
