Montezuma Winery Sweet Mead Finger Lakes NV

Member Review by Corey Reichle:

Ok, the good points first. The flavor profile hit exactly what it says on the bottle: Fruity, with the hint of honey, and a creamy finish. It's a white wine, so I wasn't expecting much body, but body it had, although light. It was more than I expected. A good thing. It was sweet, but not cloying. The honey was lost to the fruity grape flavors, but felt on the finish. Now, the aroma hit like crazy. It was a complete nose full, and impossible to pick out any of the flavors from the aroma. Not a bad aroma, just very powerful. Legs were there, not extremely long, and oily legs, but it was still a respectable leg. Zero sediment in the bottle, and crystal clear. The only complaint I had: It was labeled a mead. It's a pyment (Mead with grapes, instead of water). I am a firm believer in proper labeling of your beverage. Overall, I'd buy it again, for the proper occasion.

The wine that started our winery! This wine has a wonderful aroma of honey and tones of Niagara grapes and honey with a creamy honey finish. Enjoy either chilled or warmed with mulling spices. - Winery
