Montevina Terra d'Oro Zinfandel 2005

An extremely enjoyable and complex flavor that doesn't overpower. I really like this one.

Wine Tasting NotesTerra dOro Zinfandel is well suited for a cool Autumn evening on the porchIm all for Zin with football! This wine embodies the power, grace, and passion of Americas number one spectator sport. Dark fruit flavors of black currant and fig accompany the aroma of a steaming cup of Mexican Hot Chocolate. Richly textured and firmly structured it will pair well with classic tailgate fare as well as with white tablecloths and finer cuisine. We think we scored with this one and you will too. Open it up and make a pass.

Terra d'Oro 2005 Zinfandel is a shining example of Amador Zinfandel.Montevina doesn't have to coerce character and spice from the fruit, nor do theybeat it back. Dark berry fruit is generously seasoned with characteristicShenandoah spice. American oak lends molasses and barbecue sauceand French oak adds vanilla and cinnamon to a balanced lingeringfinish. Sweet and spicy are two classic culinary combinations.
