The 2007 Alpha Pinot Noir is more expressive aromatically, has a lovely satiny texture, raspberry and black cherry flavors, and a sleek personality. Ripe, concentrated, and flavorful, it may well evolve for 1ndash;2 years and can be enjoyed through 2017.

Deep red. Pungent aromas of cherry, dark berries and licorice, with a suave undercurrent of smoky minerals and flowers. Weighty and velvety, with sweet cherry and blackberry flavors and a refreshing bite of minerals on the back. Finishes with very good cling and sweet persistence. This would stack up nicely with many California pinots at twice the price.
