Food Pairings for Montes Pinot Noir Casablanca Valley Chile
The grapes for this lovely Pinot Noir come from the well reputed Casablanca and Leyda valleys. The wine is picked normally at the end of March. Using a cold pre-fermentative maceration Montes obtain the gracious and typical aromas of Pinot Noir. Five months in French new and used oak complete the aging process. The resulting wine has an intense and elegant nose with predominance of strawberries and flowery violet hints. The palate is well balanced, with soft tannins and a good level of acidity making it very fresh and lively. This wine is very low filtered.
