User Reviews for Montes Merlot Colchagua Valley Alpha
Add your reviewdeep color, subtle fuits, low tannins, smooth in finish, nothing offends
Very rich, stewed in sweet plumbs, oaky full body. Very yummy and drinkable.
This is probably a great wine for people who love complex acidic wines that offer many different tastes. This wine smells and tastes like a Cab Sav to me, and is a great wine for heavy steaks, etc... I however am not a fan, like my Syrah's to be more balanced and possess more silky tannins.
maple and berries in nose. Cocoa, vanilla, blueberry, but earthy and not oversweet. Finish medium length, dry with cocoa and berries.
1) Excellent Crimson Red Bright ruby Colour. Good Legs 2) Bouquet of Plum, Spice and Red berries and chocolate 3) Palate: Soft with Plum, spice and hint of strawberry, Cherry and mint. Good hint of Oak and Tobacco. 4) V well balanced with Excellent smooth finish with good length. Nice Silky and velvety aftertaste. 5) Great with Lamb chops and other red meat. Great with Cheese. 6) Nice complexity. Note: 90% Merlot 10% Carmenere.

Rubinrot.
A bit rugged to start with, with solid berry and crusty dark aromatics. The palate has good size and cushion, with a creamy feel housing soft baked plum, herb, cough drop and vanilla flavors. A little woody on the finish, which fades with a modicum of grace. Neither edgy nor aggressive.
Ripe with an abundance of jammy plum and blueberry flavors with hints of cinnamon and cloves in the finish.
Perked up by bright berry and cherry flavors, with a pleasant hint of chocolate on the finish. Itrsquo;s fresh, lively and harmonious.
Fresh, with open-knit berry fruit and good spice and toast notes. Finishes with a briery touch. Drink now.
Fresh and very flavorful, like blackberry jam without the sweetness. Deep purple in color, peppery in aroma, smooth and lush in texture. Not tannic, so itrsquo;s ready to drink. Good value and enjoyment mdash; what the Chileans do best.
