What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Winemakers Notes

The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this excellent wine are sourced from Santa Cruz (Colchagua), from the now famous “La Finca de Apalta” Estate, in the Apalta Valley, reputed to be the best for red wines in Chile. The wine is a deep ruby red colour, and the expression of Cabernet Sauvignon is evident providing structure and elegance. There are lots of berries, fruits and hints of tobacco and vanilla. Promising abundant soft rounded tannins are evident. The structure and balance of this full bodied wine makes it very pleasant and enjoyable. A very sophisticated wine with a delightfully long finish.

Reviews

The fruit is darker with a quality nose of cedar, leather, espresso, and black currants. The wine's texture is supple and there is enough tannin to support 2-3 years of cellaring. This well-made Cabernet can be enjoyed through 2020.

Flavor of ripped dark berry, flower, a hint of cassis. Constrained tannin and smooth after. Very fluty and not heavy. Can enjoy right after you opened the bottle.
