Montefalco Rosso Perticaia Italy 2007

Member Review by Maximilian Schweisfurth:

This wine takes me back to Italy. This is the cheapest way of taking a trip to Italy (24.99$ retail). Just had this with Osso Bucco and red wine fennel veggies. The wine is not for the classic "Cab-Drinker". This is a food-wine, Italian, an animal that need a confident rider (not some phony-hillbilly-weekend-rider). Lots of spice, clove, cardamom, sandalwood, white pepper, black cherry and prune. The wine is super approachable and supports most "real" foods. If you know the guy that makes the wine.... you would pay 50$ a bottle. Cheers
