Our best-selling (and best value!) Rioja. A softer, modern style, with smooth tannins and vibrant red fruit notes, that finishes clean and easy. Subtle layers of spice and oak add depth and elegance.

The 2010 Montebuena Cuvee KPF is a blend made for the US importer, Kysela Pere et Fils. It has a perfumed wild strawberry and raspberry scented nose that shows fine definition and purity. The palate is well-balanced with supple strawberry fruit laced with cocoa and leather, leading to a finely tuned, silky finish with just the right amount of dryness to urge another sip. Drink now–2016.

Vivid ruby. Ripe cherry and blackcurrant on the nose and in the mouth. Pliant and seamless in texture, with good heft and back-end energy. Finishes smooth and sweet, with fine-grained tannins providing shape and grip. Still on the young side but this wine drinks very well with an hour or so of decanting; it’s an excellent value for Rioja.
