Monte Volpe Pinot Grigio Mendocino 2007

Member Review by rojwilco:

Pale green-gold color. Sort of buttery popcorn aromas with sharp lemon and pineapple. Acidic with a buttery mouthfeel, what I expect out of most chards. Clean and somewhat drysmoke finish. Pairings: Cheese, not fruit or salad.

Wine Tasting NotesPinot Grigio is quickly becoming one of the most popular white grape varieties in the world. This rust-gray tinted skinned grape, enjoyed for centuries, is said to be a mutation of the Pinot Noir grape. However, it seems unsure whether it is a red or white wine grape, hence, girgio, meaning gray.
