The 2008 Monte Bello is striking. It is a decidedly muscular Monte Bello endowed with layers of dark fruit. Tobacco, mint, asphalt and crushed rocks develop in the glass, adding tons of complexity and finesse. A long, saline finish rounds things out ... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. Weingut: MontesLand: ChileRegion: Colchagua ValleyRebsorten: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% MerlotAlkoholgehalt: 14,0 Vol. %Säuregehalt: 5,0 g/lRestsüße: 2,0 g/lInhalt: 0,75 lEmpfohlene Serviertemperatur: 16 - 18°CFaßreife: in Barriques gereift (6 Monate)Lagerfähigkeit: 5 - 7 Jahre ab Jahrgang Rotwein > Chile > Colchagua Valley

Shows a tasty mix of freshly crushed red berry and blackberry fruit, with a touch of toast and a hint of grilled herbs. Drink now.

The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Classic Series is round, ripe, and forward in an uncomplicated style. The flavors are attractive and the wine has a pure, fruit-filled finish. It is a very good value in Cabernet.

Starts with leather and some sharpness but soon finds its way to floral berry fruit aromas and then creamy plum and raspberry flavors. Solid in terms of feel, with mild tannic bite and then an easy, almost shy finish with herbs and leafiness. If you know Montes, this is straight from central casting.
