Add your review91 Points: Starts off with roasted (not stewed) black cherry, a coffee undertone, and savory dried herbs. On the palate there is dried black cherry, a little powdered cocoa on the mid palate, moderate acidity, and fine tannins. Finishes very nicely with a pleasant grip, lingering dried herbs,tobacco, and that subtle dusty cocoa note, all supported by understated acidity. Later,rose petals distinctly on the nose. Complex, balanced, and impressive at this age and price point.
D/H 2013-2023-The 2008 Chianti Classico Riserva is a very pretty, centered wine. Dark cherries, plums, spices, menthol, cedar, game and tobacco are some of the notes that emerge from the glass. Made from grapes from a further selection, first in the vineyard and afterward in the winery, this Riserva consists of Sangiovese (90%) and Canaiolo and Colorino (10%). It has excellent potential for aging. This wine is widely distributed on the domestic and international markets.
