Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2009
COLOR: Pale lemon in colour, with green tints and brilliant clarity. AROMA: Tropical fruit-driven aromas of pineapple and gooseberry complemented by hints of pink grapefruit, capsicum, and cut grass. PALATE: Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and refreshing, with vibrant flavours of ripe grapefruit, gooseberry and pineapple. Fresh, zingy acidity dominates the palate with some pleasant fruit sweetness providing some weight to the palate.
Very strong green olive aroma. Soft with a leafy, green palate. Slight citrus but nothing that stands out. Was not impressed.
Tasty. Good value wine. I like more zing though.
Like having a tropical fruit salad on the patio right after the lawn has been mowed. Light to med body, nice finish, acid is well balanced.

Light mandarin orange scents give this mildly sweet sauvignon a citrusy tone. It's a good choice for a party pour.
Ripe, not bracing, this new star in the Constellation portfolio boasts subtle aromas of stone fruit and citrus that become more apparent on the palate, emerging as nectarine and pink grapefruit. Plump and easy to drink; a real crowd-pleaser at a crowd-pleasing price.
Fresh and lively, with lemon curd and verbena flavors that glide easily across the open texture. Drink now.
Itrsquo;s a bit simple and a bit soft, but this value-priced wine accomplishes its mission of bringing authentic Marlborough SB flavor to the U.S. at an affordable price. Gooseberry and lime flavors are touched with hints of honey and mint, finishing with a bit of sweetness.
From the cool shores of New Zealandrsquo;s South Island, this offering is deliciously crisp and vibrant. This gem sings of capsicum and gooseberries. Naked with attitude, it hits a perfect balance, with crystal clear acidity and a hint of sweetness. Its charm, elegance and style conclude in a lingering, refreshing finish.
A light, refreshing expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, with gentle lemon and pineapple flavors complemented by a touch of grassy herbs. Itrsquo;s not as intense as some from the region, which makes for easier food parings.
Round and soft, with gently leafy notes that accent the stone fruit and grapefruit flavors. Itrsquo;s a solid introduction to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at a fair price.
