Mongeard-Mugneret Vosne-Romanee 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

An oaky nose with oak on the palate as well – the signature mocha and toasted oak flavors. Grilled nuts, super oaky, to the point of being a fault. Somewhat better on the palate because it has a decent level of tangy, lively fruit. Toasty oak and nut-laden flavors of cherry and tobacco on the finish. Wine Makers Notes

As one would reasonably expect, this offers a step up in aromatic refinement with a broader and more complex range of red currant, blue pinot and earth undertones that can also be found on the rich, supple and very generous medium-bodied flavors that... Discreet but not invisible wood sets off the notably ripe blue berry and cassis aromas that are in keeping with the velvety, ripe and seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that possess good power and solid length. This sample is on the woody sid... Burghound. A Pinot Noir wine from Burgundy in France. 2009 Mongeard-Mugneret, Domaine Vosne Romanee 750ml
