While engaged, me and my fiancé wanted to find a champagne that we would like to drink at our wedding. We didn't like Brut. Extra Dry was only slightly better. We went to a tasting where one of the stewards there recommended we tried an asti. So the most popular was Martini & Rossi Asti Spumanti. It was a step up, but still not very enjoyable. Then we found Mondoro Asti. A champagne that is smooth, fruity, and TASTY! This was fantastic. It's the only champagne that we drink now. And since it's not outrageously expensive, we can drink champagne when we want, not just when there's a special occasion.

Can anyone help? I need to find out who makes Mondoro Asti. We are Mondoro Asti lovers but we can't buy it in Australia any more & unfortunately we didn't keep a bottle which would have said the name & address of the company who produces it. Thanks in advance if you can help!

This has been my favorite sparkling wine (champagne) since I was a teenager back in Russia in mid 90's. My friends and I drank this at parties. It's been my favorite drink ever since! I love it! It's a little fruity and that is exactly what I like in a sparkling wine - sweetness and fruitiness.

Clean and refreshing. Would be great for toasting. It was sweet but not too sweet and just the right amount of dry. the store told me they were not making this anymore and it would be discontinued! Has anyone else heard this?

Wine Tasting NotesTo be served chilled. It is particularly well suited to accompany desserts or fruit at the end of a meal. Thanks to its moderate alcohol content it can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Fine and constant, light straw yellow delicately sweet with right balance of acidity. Rich, intense, aromatic, fruity, with traces of acacia and orange blossoms, and scent of wild mountain honey

At the heart of the world’s favorite spirited beverages you will find Cinzano, recognized by its signature blue and red label and 250-year tradition of excellence. With classic appeal and versatile brands, Cinzano’s legacy is sure to continue for generations to come. In 1757, CINZANO’s two brothers, Giovanni Giacomo and Carolo Stefano Cinzano, Master Distillers, opened a small shop in Turin where a dream soon became a reality. As their traditional Vermouth production rapidly increased, so did their reputation for quality. The Savoy monarchs beckoned the brothers’ expertise to create a sparkling wine to emulate the popular French Champagne of the early 19th century. The result was the birth of Cinzano Sparkling Wines in 1850. The Cinzano range of sparkling wines includes both sweet and dry versions, each with their own unique characteristics. Production Area Piedmont, Italy Grape Varieties 100% Moscato Vinification The sparkling wine is created with the Asti Method. Grapes are crushed and the juice is stored at a low temperature until it is needed. When the wine is ready to be made, the grape must is warmed and fermentation takes place in pressurized tanks. Carbon dioxide is allowed to escape until the alcohol level reaches 6% and at this point, the Carbon dioxide is retained – which creates the bubbles. The fermentation continues until the alcohol has reached 7-7.5% alcohol by volume and the pressure is close to 5 atmospheres. The fermentation is stopped by chill filtration and the wine is bottled for immediate release. Color Pale yellow with fast moving bubbles Bouquet A distinctive and intense nose of acacia flowers and candied peach Taste A sweet and fruity sparkling wine with notes of flowers, honey and candied orange peel Alcohol 7% Serving Suggestions Enjoy as an aperitif or with fruit-based desserts such as berry tarts, chocolate covered strawberries or key lime pie.

Asti - 88 Points, International Wine Review/ Rich and creamy mousse, highly aromatic, with a sweet fruity palate of melon, peaches and pear. Lovely in the mouth. A terrific dessert sparkler. Serve with angel food cake.

Asti - Colorado Wine News/ 100% moscato with a floral, honey, sweet apple and pear nose which repeat as nicely sweet flavors and finish long and medium-broad. Well balanced, structured, and integrated. Very good.

    Winemaker's Notes:

Mondoro is created from Muscatel grapes grown in Asti hills whose exposure and soil composition are exceptional. The grapes undergo a soft pressing and a successive foaming process directly on the must in order to keep all the bouquet, the fruity sensations and the sweet flavour typical of this unique white muscatel. It is best appreciated when cold but not chilly (recommended serving temperature: 8-10°C). The bottle is so elegant and unique that can it be exhibited in very refined places. Mondoro crowns the joyous moments of life with elegance and pleasantness.
