Thanks to its moderate alcohol content it can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Fine and constant, light straw yellow delicately sweet with right balance of acidity. Rich, intense, aromatic, fruity, with traces of acacia and orange blossoms, and scent of wild mountain honey
This wine is smooth and crisp. Good for enjoying for a celebration, as an appetizer, or just as a refreshment. I have turned many of my friends "on to" this wine.
As in past years, we have searched for this extraordinary sparkling wine as it is made with the Muscat grape, our personal favorite. It is sweeter, has a more delicate finish than most Asti's we've tried before. It also has a richer texture and coat's the palate with the fruity bouquet. Sadly, the last time we were able to procure Mondoro Asti Champagne was in the winter of 2001 for a graduation ceremony. No one has carried it since and we miss it dearly!

For those of us who don"t like champagne this asti is perfect for any occassion. It's also a great sit back,relax any day wine.
While engaged, me and my fiancé wanted to find a champagne that we would like to drink at our wedding. We didn't like Brut. Extra Dry was only slightly better. We went to a tasting where one of the stewards there recommended we tried an asti. So the most popular was Martini & Rossi Asti Spumanti. It was a step up, but still not very enjoyable. Then we found Mondoro Asti. A champagne that is smooth, fruity, and TASTY! This was fantastic. It's the only champagne that we drink now. And since it's not outrageously expensive, we can drink champagne when we want, not just when there's a special occasion.
This was a great price and extremely easy to drink!!

Asti - Colorado Wine News/ 100% moscato with a floral, honey, sweet apple and pear nose which repeat as nicely sweet flavors and finish long and medium-broad. Well balanced, structured, and integrated. Very good.

Production Area Piedmont, Italy The grapes are sourced from vineyards situated in the territory of Canelli, Santo Stefano Belbo and Calosso. Grape Varieties 100% Moscato Vinification The sparkling wine is created with the Asti Method. Grapes are crushed and the juice is stored at a low temperature until it is needed. When the wine is ready to be made, the grape must is warmed and fermentation takes place in pressurized tanks. Carbon dioxide is allowed to escape until the alcohol level reaches 6% and at this point, the Carbon dioxide is retained – which creates the bubbles. The fermentation continues until the alcohol has reached 7-7.5% alcohol by volume and the pressure is close to 5 atmospheres. The fermentation is stopped by chill filtration and the wine is bottled for immediate release.
