I had this wine at Maggiano's in Philly on a recommendation and I thought it was wonderful. I'm normally not a fan of really full-bodied wines, but this had a great taste to it, a wonderful aroma, and went very well with my lasagna.

A crowd pleaser. This wine doesn't try to do any fancy tricks but is very enjoyable. Tannins are pretty well balanced now, so I'm not sure how this wine would stand up to aging.
Deep clear red/purple in color. Excellent nose (Lush fruit with hints of chocolate). Sits calmly on the palette and tastes of chocolate, cassias, and balanced tannins with a smooth finish
Outstanding! One of the best wines I've tried. Smooth, velvety, lingures and warms. Great aromas, you can taste the berries and spices. Just a great, great wine.
Flavors of blackberry and currents with a medium length finish.
Blend of 5 grapes. Scents of wood, smoke, and berries. Tangy start, dry berry flavor with a smoky finish.

Robert Mondavi Solaire Cabernet Sauvignon shows all the hallmarks of great Paso Robles fruit. This full-bodied wine displays aromas of blackberry, cassis, and sweet dark fruits, with flavors of blackberries and plum supported by ripe tannins and integrated, sweet vanilla oak. This wine has beautiful elegance. It is soft and approachable now, and will further improve with careful cellaring for eight to ten years.
Good deep ruby-red. Currant, chocolate and tobacco on the nose. Silky, layered and lush, with a seamless texture to the full-bodied flavors of plum, currant and lead-pencil minerality. Has plenty of plump mid-palate fruit to support the big but thoroughly ripe tannins, which reach the front teeth. Mostly from To-Kalon fruit, the rest from nearby vines also in Oakville. Winemaker Janssens compared this wine to the 1995. This is sweet and approachable, whereas the 2005 version was young and aggressive at the same stage.
A beautiful Cabernet, rich and soft and profoundly structured, showing near-perfect tannins. They melt in your mouth, yet retain firmness, and carry flavors of blackberries, black currants and cedar. Lacks the concentration of previous vintages, but is a lovely wine for now and over the next six years.

Turbocharged cassis and forest fruits. Great presence in the mouth. Terrific freshness and persistence.
Very rich brambly blackberry nose. Ripe tannins, massive, but with spice and acidity, too. Hedonistic without being bland or flabby. From 2010.
Brambly blackberry nose. Voluptuous and huge, yet there is spice and acidity. From 2010.
90 points Wine Enthusiast: What's so nice about this wine is that it has full-throttle Chard personality while keeping everything so balanced that it's also a versatile food wine. You can't say that about a lot of Chardonnays. Mainly it's the acidity, but also the complex, subtle interplay of fruit and oak. A very nice job. (Sep 2007)
An inky wine that follows through on the promise of its deep, dark color to deliver intensity in every way. In the nose, ripe aromas of wild blueberry merge with a hint of black olive and notes of spice and vanilla derived from aging in new French oak. In the mouth, the powerful tannins are chewy and generous, and beautifully balanced by the wine’s equally dense flavors of black fruits—blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry and crème de cassis. Vibrant and alive with fresh acidity, the 2005 Reserve is a powerful wine that carries its considerable muscle with elegance and style Deep, dark color signals the wine’s intensity. Aromas of wild blueberry contain hints of black olive and spicy vanilla from oak aging. Dense flavors of blackberry, black cherry and boysenberry are enhanced by elegantly powerful tannins and vibrant acidity
