Loads of barnyard on the nose. Cedar and farm aromas. Very earthy. Once that dissipates, rich red berry aromas and tomato broth emerge. On the palate, it's a medium bodied wine with flavors of roasted herb, cracked pepper and predominantly red berry fruit. Cab Franc-like qualities on the palate with turned soil, stone and red berry fruit. Nice acid keeps it lively and well suited for food. It has a mouth-watering luscious finish. Interesting and tasty. 89 pts.
