Monasterio de Tentudia Vino de la Tierra Extremadura 2000

Member Review by ryanopaz:

Light reddish purple in color. The nose shows wood smoke, minerals, ripe raspberries, some chocolate, cranberry and a earthy mustiness. In the mouth the acid and tannins are of medium weight and don't interfere much. Sweet raspberry, light earth, minerals, oak, and some light spices all come together on the palate. The finish lasts for a good 10 to 15 seconds, and overall this wine shows as a pleasant weekend quaffer. alt 3.5/5 [NR]

Monasterio de Tentudia:
Monasterio de Tentudia is a wine produced in Extremadura, Spain. The winery is named for a magnificent Medieval monastery in Calera de León, which is depicted on its label. This is a red blend based on the Tempranillo grape, with other grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon in the mix. The region is known for its fruit-forward, ripe and concentrated styles of red wine of which this is a prime example.
