Food Pairings for Momokawa Organic Nigori Sake
Beverage Testing Institute Review Rated 89 BEST BUY Cloudy white marble color. Bright circus peanut, poached pear, and honey ice cream aromas follow through on a soft, supple entry to a fruity medium-to-full body with balanced sweet creamy custard, Asian pear sorbet, and water chestnut notes. Finishes with a long, honey toasted nut, mineral, and crystalized ginger fade. A very nicely balanced nigori to pair with fruit tortes. (tasted on Dec-16-2008) Wine Tasting Notes There is something different about this rich, creamy certified organic Nigori. Something that warms our hearts and tantalizes our palates. This is the first of its kind, the first Nigori to be certified organic. Rich and silky layers of coconut and cream with big burst of fresh pineapple and a hint of banana. Consider spicy Thai, free range Chicken in Mole sauce, or a dark flourless chocolate torte. Also a perfect match for tropical fruits such as fresh papaya, mango and guava.
